Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a paediatric therapy support role based in community settings across South Cheshire, including Springfield School. You will work with children aged 0-19 and alongside qualified therapists to help with assessments, care plans and hydrotherapy in a supportive team.

The role involves independent work under direction and close collaboration with the MDT, with exposure to paediatric equipment and clinical data entry using EMIS Web.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside qualified Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other therapy assistants to complete assessments and interventions in community locations.
• Completion of care plans with children under direction from clinicians
• Liaison with other members of the MDT
• Management of stock and liaison with appropriate individuals re ordering
• Use of Paediatric equipment e.g standing frames, specialised seating, Orthotics
• Completion of hydrotherapy sessions
• Inputting of clinical data and records into EMIS Web system
• Answering, making and directing calls into the department

As part of the role, you would be working directly alongside qualified therapists and other therapy assistants to help with assessments, and implement care plans for children and young people aged 0-19. The role is extremely varied, and you will be working alongside some inspirational children and young people. The role will involve some independent working under direction, but also close team working with members of our therapy team, and the wider MDT.

You will gain valuable experience and skills in working directly with the children and young people, including the use of children's therapy equipment, communication skills and hydrotherapy.
