Job summary

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust invites Registered and Experienced Band 5 Nurses to join a busy ward specialising in Gastroenterology, Neurology and Inherited Metabolic Diseases. The 17-bed unit offers training and development with expert clinical support from senior staff.

We welcome flexible working and a strong emphasis on safeguarding, continuous education, and patient-centred care for children and young people in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• RN Child with clinical experience.
• Current NMC paediatric registration.
• Evidence of recent and ongoing professional development.
• Take Charge.
• Mentors and Assessors course.
• Tracheostomy care.
• TPN competent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, safe care for children and young people.
• Plan and prioritise daily workload to ensure high quality care.
• Support professional development and learning opportunities for junior staff.
• Encourage teamwork and effective communication within the ward.
