Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals is seeking a dedicated children's nurse to deliver evidence-based, child-centred care in the paediatric assessment and day unit setting.

You will work with the medical team to provide holistic care for children and young people undergoing day tests or reviews, mentor pre-registration students, and contribute to family-centred care initiatives within a large, teaching hospital group.

Responsibilities

• To provide child centred, evidence based, high quality care to children and their families in the paediatric assessment and day unit setting.
• To implement and evaluate family centred care and to be responsible for the delivery of care and assessment, development and evaluations of individual programmes of care
• To take delegated responsibility for children working as part of a team to ensure care delivered is to a high standard
• To be responsible for mentoring pre-registration students
• To deliver evidence based care to a high standard, providing a holistic approach to nursing care, to children and young people admitted who require day admissions for tests or reviews from the medical team.
