Paediatric Staff Nurse

Band 5 Staff Nurse- 12 months maternity leave cover/ Secondment.Join our Paediatric Team at our state-of-the-art hospital in the heart of central London. The ward is a busy multi-speciality ward with 15 acute beds, 4 of which are designated High dependency beds.

You will be based on the Paediatric ward but may also work within the Paediatric directorate.

We are looking for Registered Children's Nurses, or Adult Nurses with at least 6 months post qualified paediatric and/or adolescent experience. You will be motivated, enthusiastic and with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Main duties of the job

You will gain experience in the care of acute paediatrics, with ages ranging from neonates up to adolescents, including specialities such as Rheumatology, Haematology, Gastroenterology, Endocrine, Adolescent Mental Health, and Surgical Specialities. The ward also works closely with the day-care and oncology teams, and with the neonatal unit preparing chronically unwell babies for discharge
