The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated paediatric nurse to provide holistic care to children from birth to 16 years during outpatient appointments. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care and safety.
You will lead on family-centred care, support learning for staff, and maintain up-to-date documentation in line with NMC and Trust policies. Commitment to wellbeing and equality is valued.
To provide effective clinical and holistic individualised family centred care to the patients and families during their out-patient appointment, ensuring delivery is to the highest standard. Maintaining evidenced based practice is performed at all times, being responsible for updating own knowledge and skills in line with the Trust polices, multidisciplinary team and the NMC Code. Developing leadership skills, actively participating in service development.
Carry out all relevant forms of nursing care and patient management for children aged from birth to 16 years (this may be extended for children with chronic/complex conditions). Participate in the supervision and teaching of new members of staff including nursing students and paramedics.
