Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a dedicated Bank Paediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Surrey therapies team. You will support delivery of high-quality OT services for children with a broad developmental and sensory needs spectrum, under the supervision of qualified OTs.

You will work across diverse settings such as health centres, nurseries and schools, handling assessments, interventions and care plans while ensuring safeguarding and child protection policies are followed.

Qualifications

• FdSc Health and Social Care (Associate Practitioner) qualification.
• Proven literacy and numeracy skills.
• Clear, accurate recording and reporting skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications and email.
• Ability to work under pressure with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Visit homes, nurseries and schools to review and adjust postural management and moving & handling equipment.
• Instruct carers on safe use of equipment (seating, bathing, toileting, sleep systems).
• Plan and deliver individual and group therapy activities within therapist-led care frameworks.
• Support parents and carers across multi-agency settings.
• Implement and review intervention programmes for school staff and families.
• Assess progress independently and adjust programmes with supervisor input.
• Communicate sensitive information with tact and adapt strategies for barriers.
• Collaborate with families and professionals on client care decisions.
• Share assessment findings with school staff, carers and the inter-disciplinary team.
