Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to provide a specialist SLT service to children and young people with diverse speech and language needs. The post involves working within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating training for school staff and carers, and delivering evidence-based therapy.

You will manage a complex caseload, deliver care per professional guidelines, and maintain HCPC registration while actively reflecting on practice for ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with HCPC and meet HCPC requirements.
• Experience delivering SLT services to children and young people.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and with schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide an assessment and therapy service for children with speech and language needs.
• Manage a complex caseload independently with supervision as needed.
• Deliver care in line with RCSLT/HCPC guidelines and standards.
• Coordinate and deliver training for school staff, parents and carers.
• Collaborate with teachers, learning support staff and families to support child goals.
• Plan, evaluate and modify therapy interventions based on progress.
