Job summary

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Paediatric Respiratory Physiologist for a one-year fixed-term contract at Royal Brompton Hospital with cross-site work at Evelina Children’s Hospital. You will join a busy Paediatric Respiratory Department and a collaborative Respiratory Physiology team.

The role involves performing a range of paediatric respiratory tests in clinics, theatres and on the ward, with multidisciplinary support to deliver high-quality care to children.

Qualifications

• Experience with paediatric patients and respiratory physiology
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Ability to perform a range of respiratory tests with accuracy

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory physiology tests including spirometry, FeNO, impedance studies and CPET
• Work in clinics, theatres and on the ward as part of the respiratory physiology service
• Explain tests clearly to children and support families to achieve reliable results
• Analyse test data and produce clear reports for the clinical team
