Job summary

Epsom and St Helier Hospitals are recruiting a Bank Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist to join Perseid Schools in Morden, working bank, term-time hours. This Band 6 role involves paediatric assessments, managing an independent caseload, delivering evidence-based interventions in school, home and community settings, and maintaining accurate records for EHCPs.

You will work with families, schools and multi‑disciplinary teams, supported by a Band 7 physiotherapist, with development opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience in paediatric physiotherapy and CPIP assessments.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload.
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND and complex needs.
• Experience completing CPIP assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions.
• Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, goal setting and outcome measurement.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of postural management, orthotics, hydrotherapy and equipment.
• Excellent communication, organisation and clinical reasoning skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Support the Band 7 Physiotherapist in delivering physiotherapy services to children and young people within special school settings.
• Manage an allocated caseload of children and young people with complex physiotherapy needs.
• Undertake assessments, including CPIP assessments, and implement evidence-based treatment programmes.
• Provide physiotherapy interventions across school, home and community settings.
• Work collaboratively with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams to support agreed outcomes.
• Provide reports, clinical records and EHCP advice as part of Annual Reviews.
