We are looking for a highly motivated experienced paediatric nurse to join our Paediatric Outreach Team.
The Paediatric Outreach Team cares for children and young people within their own home and primary care setting.
Currently, the service provides community nursing for children and young people with acute and long-term conditions, complex needs, and palliative care, including end-of-life care.
The children and young people can present with acute illness in addition to requiring skilled nursing intervention to manage highly complex health and developmental needs throughout childhood and at transition to adult services.
Our services are designed to promote excellent holistic care for the children and their families.
The Paediatric Outreach Team is based within Stoke Mandeville Hospital and is part of the thriving paediatric unit; we work closely with the acute ward. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to experience many specialties and get to know many of the families before visiting them in their own homes.
We are looking for nurses who have community experience or experience of managing complex medical needs of children in any setting.
The service runs from 8 am to 6 pm Monday-Friday and 10 am-3 pm Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays. We also provide on-call service for end-of-life care when required.
