Job summary

Provide CIC in Colchester is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the SEND Paediatric OT team. You will support children and young people to access education and learning in schools, homes and community settings, delivering OT services per EHCPs.

The role offers training, supervision and progression within a well established team. Required: BSc(Hons) OT or Diploma, HCPC registration, and at least 5 years of paediatric experience.

Qualifications

• BSc(Hons) Occupational Therapy or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered with the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
• At least 5 years experience as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Gain consent and undertake OT assessments, formulate and implement treatment plans.
• Obtain information relevant to patient care and manage discharge/ongoing care.
• Provide hands-on treatment and developmentally appropriate play for children.
• Present treatment programmes and carry out care adapted to non-clinical settings.
• Provide written reports contributing to Education Health and Care Plans.
