Job Description:

The past 12 months have been an exciting time for CHAMP, with our team expanding from two to six therapists. We also recently opened our new specialist practice in Wandsworth, featuring four therapy rooms - two of which are fully equipped for Ayres Sensory Integration therapy sessions. As we continue to grow, we are now looking for two experienced and dynamic paediatric occupational therapists, as well as a speech and language therapist, to join our specialist team.

Requirements, Qualifications & Experience

  • HCPC registered, or in the process of becoming registered (having applied)
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) / Speech and Language Therapy (SALT)
  • Minimum 1 – 1.5 years of work experience in paediatric OT or SALT
  • For South African therapists, their community service year would be considered as 1 year's work experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification, or enrolled in post-graduate training in one of the following:

> OT: Ayres Sensory Integration (through CLASI or SAISI), DIR Floortime, and/or Neurodevelopmental approaches such as MAES or Bobath, SOS-feeding

> SALT: SCERTS Model, DIR Floortime, PECS, Makaton or British Sign Language (BSL), and/or SOS-feeding

  • Strong English oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, effective time and workload management

  • Supervision and CPD Support: We provide tailored clinical supervision and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities based on your needs and experience. Our commitment to professional growth includes opportunities for CPD through collaboration within a multidisciplinary team (MDT), in-house training sessions, and financial support, including study leave packages, to help you further develop your skills and expertise.
  • Right-to-work/Visa Sponsorship: CHAMP is an approved visa sponsor and can employ HCPC-registered therapists or those eligible for HCPC registration through the Skilled Worker visa sponsorship programme.

Caseload & Working Day

The SALT or OT position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with a hybrid working model between our brand-new clinic in Wandsworth (SW18) and schools across South West and Central London.

The caseload includes children under 12 with developmental challenges due to factors such as birth complications or diagnoses including Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, sensory processing disorders, Dyslexia, Intellectual Disability, Global Developmental Delay, and Down Syndrome.

We prioritise work-life balance and provide full-time therapists with a designated admin day.
