Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Experienced Occupational Therapist (Paediatrics) for a fixed-term role at the Dingley Child Development Centre in Reading. The post involves managing a complex caseload of inpatients and outpatients aged 0-16 with diverse therapeutic needs and conditions.

You will work within a proactive MDT, providing clinical assessment and treatment, and deputising for the Band 7 Therapist as required.

Qualifications

• Post graduate specialist experience in paediatrics demonstrated by ongoing CPD and project work.
• Understanding of a broad range of paediatric conditions.
• Post-graduate training in the management of paediatric conditions.
• Experience of teaching and presenting to other staff.
• Experience supervising and developing other staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously manage a complex caseload of inpatient and outpatient paediatric patients.
• Provide clinical assessment and treatment as an Occupational Therapist.
• Work as part of the MDT with the Paediatric OT team and Band 7 Therapist.
• Use specialist knowledge and clinical reasoning to support the Paediatric OT service.
