Job summary

Dorset Council is recruiting multiple Occupational Therapists to join our Community Paediatric team on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll work with children and young people aged 0-25 to support their everyday activities and participation in home, school, and community settings.

The role includes moving and handling assessments, collaboration with families and professionals, maintaining clinical records, and travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Post-qualifying experience preferred.
• Experience with children and young people in community/paediatric settings.
• Ability to travel and have access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and intervention for children with functional difficulties in home setting.
• Carry out moving and handling assessments and complete care plans.
• Carry out moving and handling risk assessments and environmental assessments.
• Collaborate with families, schools and other professionals to develop therapy plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards.
