Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Essex is seeking a Band 5 Children's Occupational Therapist to join the Community Children's Therapy Team, covering Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forest. Based at Treehouse Family Hub in Harlow, you will support children aged 0-19 to gain independence through evidence-based OT interventions in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, support families and schools, and participate in clinics and group programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy is essential.
• Current HCPC registration is required.
• Knowledge of child development and conditions affecting functional development, participation and independence.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with children, families, schools and partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments, treatment programmes and reviews for children aged 0-19.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualised treatment plans and SMART goals.
• Support families, carers and schools to maximise independence and participation.
• Provide advice, training and education to parents, carers and professionals.
• Assess for equipment and postural needs in home and educational settings.
• Deliver interventions across settings including schools, hubs and homes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care planning.
