Words First Ltd in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join two school sites, delivering child-centred support within the school environment and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will assess sensory, motor and functional needs, deliver individual and group interventions, and collaborate with teachers, families and other professionals to embed therapeutic approaches into daily school life.

HCPC registration is required.

Competenze

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration or eligibility.
• Experience in school-based or multidisciplinary settings is desirable.
• Ability to work across multiple sites within Reading with children and families.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join Words First, working across two schools in Reading.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an OT who enjoys being part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), working closely with other professionals to deliver integrated, child-centred support within the school environment.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy across universal, targeted and specialist levels of provision, including:

• Assessing pupils' sensory, motor and functional needs.
• Delivering individual and group interventions.
• Developing practical strategies to support participation, independence and access to learning.
• Collaborating with teachers, families and other professionals to embed therapeutic approaches throughout the school day.
• Providing training, advice and support to school staff.
• Contributing to a collaborative, neuro-affirming and strengths-based approach to supporting pupils.
