Job summary

Words First Ltd in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join two school sites, delivering child-centred support within the school environment and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will assess sensory, motor and functional needs, deliver individual and group interventions, and collaborate with teachers, families and other professionals to embed therapeutic approaches into daily school life.

HCPC registration is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration or eligibility.
• Experience in school-based or multidisciplinary settings is desirable.
• Ability to work across multiple sites within Reading with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils' sensory, motor and functional needs.
• Deliver individual and group OT interventions.
• Develop practical strategies to support participation and access to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and other professionals to embed therapeutic approaches.
• Provide training and support to school staff.
• Contribute to a neuro-affirming and strengths-based approach.
