Job summary

PST Group in Leicester is seeking a compassionate Paediatric Nurse to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to a non-mobile child with complex medical needs.

The ideal candidate will have UK nursing experience, be confident with NIV, PEG feeding, seizures management and buccal medications, and be committed to safeguarding and child safety.

You will work independently under clinical guidance, ensuring comfort and wellbeing while following care plans in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 12+ months of UK nursing experience.
• Experience in paediatric nursing and caring for children with complex medical needs.
• Knowledge or experience of NIV, PEP mask therapy, deep suctioning, catheter care, and PEG feeding.
• Experience managing seizures and administering buccal medication.
• Understanding of safeguarding and high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred paediatric care to a non-mobile child.
• Manage complex clinical needs and follow care plans.
• Administer buccal medications and support PEG feeding.
• Monitor and respond to seizures; ensure patient safety.
• Coordinate with families and multidisciplinary team to optimise care.

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Paediatric Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred care to a non-mobile child with complex medical needs in Leicester, LE3.

The ideal candidate will have experience in paediatric nursing, be confident in managing complex clinical needs, and be committed to ensuring the child's safety, comfort, and wellbeing.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of UK nursing experience.
• Valid NMC registration.
• Experience in paediatric nursing and caring for children with complex medical needs.
• Knowledge or experience of NIV, PEP mask therapy, deep suctioning, catheter care, and PEG feeding.
• Experience managing seizures and administering buccal medication.
• Understanding of Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) and seizure management.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to care.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical guidance and care plans.
• A commitment to safeguarding, patient safety, and high standards of care.
