Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust in Poole is seeking a Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Clinical Nurse Specialist/Practitioner to join our Community Paediatric team. The post provides assessment, treatment, medication management and ongoing support for children and young people with ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities and complex neurodisability.

You will lead nurse‑led clinics, work autonomously within a multidisciplinary service, and contribute to neurodevelopmental assessment

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NMC registration.
• Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
• BSc (Hons) in Nursing or an equivalent portfolio of evidence.
• Experience in neurodisability settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload of children and young people with ADHD, ASD and neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Prescribe ADHD medication and monitor it according to NICE guidance.
• Lead nurse clinics and participate in MDT triage.
• Provide education and expert advice to families and professionals.
• Contribute to quality improvement and service development.
