Job summary

The Portland Hospital for Women and Children in London is seeking a Clinical Psychologist specialising in Neurodevelopmental Conditions to join our Paediatric Therapies team. You will conduct neurodevelopmental assessments and develop treatment plans within inpatient and outpatient settings.

Applicants should hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) with ADOS-2/ADI-R/DISCO training and extensive paediatric experience, including ASD diagnostic work and CAMHS exposure.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) or equivalent.
• ADOS-2 and ADI‑R/DISCO training and experience.
• Extensive paediatric psychology experience.
• Significant experience with neurological conditions and ASD diagnostic service.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and diagnostic testing to support children with neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide diagnosis and care planning.
• Develop individualised treatment plans tailored to each child and family.
• Provide education, guidance and emotional support to families at diagnosis.
• Deliver teaching and training to colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead and contribute to service development initiatives.
• Liaise with consultants, schools and external providers to promote integrated care.
• Maintain high standards of professional, ethical and legal practice.
