Job summary

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English at Grade C or above.
• Experience of working with computer systems, to include Microsoft Office, in a working/academic environment.
• Evidence of effective communication skills both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for patients, parents/carers and other health professionals, handling a wide range of queries and escalating to the clinical team when needed.
• Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the clinical and managerial teams, including typing clinical correspondence, producing meeting minutes and action logs, processing daily post, booking appointments, and managing communications with parents and carers.
• Work collaboratively with the clinical and managerial teams to maintain departmental procedures, ensuring targets and quality objectives are met.
• Provide dedicated administrative and secretarial support to consultants within the department, including cross-cover during leave to ensure continuity of service.
