Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Children's Nurse with NMC registration.
• Band 6 Paediatric trained or experienced Band 5.
• Ability to lead shifts and provide professional leadership.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 roster as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive assessment of a child's nursing requirements.
• Undertake essential nursing assessment considering activities of daily living.
• Undertake triage and risk assessments to inform care needs.
• Devise a care plan based on assessment and medical prescription with parent/guardian and child.
• Review effectiveness of care and take necessary actions; provide leadership in the absence of the Unit manager.
