Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading is seeking an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to lead inpatient services and provide clinical care across subspecialties. The role involves working with children and young people in general paediatric wards and some outpatient activity, collaborating with consultants within an MDT setting.

The post requires strong leadership, clinical assessment, teaching and a commitment to CPD and audit.

Qualifications

• Experience leading paediatric physiotherapy services in an NHS setting.
• Paediatric inpatient and clinic-based work across sub-specialties.
• Willingness to lead service development and CPD/audit activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for the paediatric physiotherapy service.
• Manage the physiotherapy team operationally in partnership with the Team Lead.
• Offer specialist support and advice for complex paediatric cases.
• Maintain high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy delivery.
• Contribute to departmental planning as part of the management team.
• Act as deputy for the Paediatric Physiotherapy Team Lead when required.
