Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading seeks an experienced physiotherapist to lead our paediatric inpatient services and work across sub-specialities. The post requires clinical leadership, expert paediatric physiotherapy practice, and active involvement in CPD and audit.

You will lead the physiotherapy team, provide clinical guidance to staff, and manage a caseload of complex paediatric cases. Experience in cystic fibrosis and neonatal care would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Extensive NHS paediatric experience including respiratory and inpatient rehabilitation.
• Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment and teaching skills.
• Experience in leadership and service development in paediatric inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead inpatient paediatric services across general wards and some outpatient care.
• Provide specialist support and advice to the physiotherapy team and other staff.
• Manage a caseload of patients with complex conditions as an autonomous practitioner.
• Deputise for the Paediatric Physiotherapy Team Lead when required.
• Be a member of the Physiotherapy Department Management team and contribute to planning and policy.
