Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Children’s Emergency Department (CED). The role is 37.5 hours per week, with pro rata for part-time, in a Level 2 Trauma Centre caring for paediatric patients.

You will work as part of a dynamic ED team, with support from senior staff and Practice Development Nurse, and have opportunities for clinical and academic development. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Band 5 nurse position in the Children’s Emergency Department (CED).
• Paediatric trained staff are involved in care within the ED.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of individualised children’s nursing care in the ED.
• Supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff in the department.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in paediatric emergency care.
• Promote family-centred care and support during challenging situations.
• Assist with patient flow and contribute to clinical governance.
