Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals Nhs Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Paediatric Clinical Nurse to join the Paediatric Emergency Department on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.

The role offers clinical leadership, coordination of child-centred care, and opportunities to develop services within a dynamic emergency setting, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to maintain standards and patient safety.

Qualifications

• A&E specialist course required.
• EPLS/APLS certification desirable.
• Registered paediatric nurse with current UK registration.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care with the MDT and CYP families.
• Practice as a clinical expert and ensure delivery of high quality patient care.
• Supervise and develop a large multidisciplinary team and manage department resources with matron support.
