Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust's Nottingham Children's Hospital is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the CYPED team. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to children and young people in a busy environment, while supporting families and maintaining safety and dignity.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, develop paediatric emergency nursing skills, participate in supervision and education, and contribute to continuous improvement and safe patient flow.

Qualifications

• Current level one NMC registration or pre-pin due to qualify.
• Experience delivering nursing care to a group of patients.
• Supervision of non registered staff and students.
• Desirable: evidence of mentoring or team work development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safe, compassionate care within the CYPED for children and young people.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate paediatric care.
• Recognise deteriorating patients and escalate appropriately.
• Support learning and development of student nurses and colleagues.
• Demonstrate professionalism, compassion and accountability in practice.
