Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust invites applications for a substantive Consultant post in Paediatrics with a special interest in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at Lister Hospital, Stevenage.

This hybrid role combines Paediatric Emergency Medicine and Acute General Paediatrics, with scope to train EM trainees, lead quality improvement, and develop post-CCT PEM interests to support service needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in Paediatric Emergency Medicine
• Commitment to PEM in acute care setting
• Ability to train EM trainees and nurses

Responsibilities

• Cover rapid access and general paediatric clinics.
• Participate in Consultant service week 1:6 weeks, covering inpatient ward or CAU.
• Part of a 1:12 on-call Consultant weekend rota, covering Acute General Paediatrics.
