Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a paediatric dietitian to deliver specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people across inpatient, outpatient and community settings. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support families toward optimal nutrition and growth outcomes.

You will develop clinical pathways, contribute to student training, and participate in service development and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree/Diploma in Dietetics
• HCPC registration
• Postgraduate paediatric training (e.g. BDA modules)
• Behavioural change training/motivational interviewing skills
• Evidence of up-to-date best practice in paediatric dietetics
• Clinical supervisory skills and involvement in student training
• Masters level or equivalent
• Recent paediatric dietetics experience

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist dietetic assessment and intervention for children and young people across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
• Support families to achieve the very best nutritional outcomes.
• Lead and shape service development and MDT working.
• Support development of team members and students; act as student lead when appropriate.
• Contribute to service improvement projects and clinical governance.
