Job summary

RTC Resources Ltd is recruiting an experienced Registered Children's Nurse (RCN) to work in Paediatric Day Units across Gloucester and Cheltenham on a 6-month block booking. Shifts are 07:00–19:30, Monday to Friday, with no weekends or bank holidays.

You will support children and young people attending procedures and investigations, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate care in a busy paediatric environment.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a Children's Nurse (RCN).
• Recent paediatric nursing experience.
• Surgical experience preferred.
• Experience supporting patients undergoing medical investigations.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
• Venepuncture and cannulation experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people attending the paediatric day unit for surgical procedures, medical investigations and day-case care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate and high-quality care throughout the patient’s time in the unit.
