Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Physiotherapist to join our community team delivering specialist paediatric physiotherapy for children aged 0-19 in the Borough of Bexley. You will work across health, education and community care settings, including homes and schools.

You will carry a mixed caseload including musculoskeletal, rheumatology, orthopaedics and neurodivergent children, with opportunities for supervision, training and professional development in a dynamic MDT.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Membership of Paediatric special interest group.
• Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a specialist children's physiotherapy service in the community of Bexley.
• Independently manage a varied caseload across all areas of children's physiotherapy.
• Assess the functional needs of children and young people to develop and implement treatment and intervention.
• Assess and treat across all areas with problem solving and judgement.
• Provide education to others regarding management and care of children.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team for the child’s best interests.
• Support band 5 staff and Therapy assistants; participate in supervision and training.
• Work within clinical governance and national/local policies.
