Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Paediatric Physiotherapist for a fixed term, part-time maternity leave cover. The role is based at Broomfield Hospital within the Children's Therapy Service and involves delivering musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and rheumatology paediatric care.

You will work as part of a dynamic MDT, leading an outpatient area and contributing to excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Paediatric physiotherapist with passion for musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and rheumatology care.
• Ability to lead an area of outpatient paediatric physiotherapy with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Evidence of recent professional learning and commitment to team-based care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and rheumatology aspects of the paediatric physiotherapy service for inpatients, outpatients and clinics.
• Manage a complex caseload independently and act as a specialist resource for colleagues and the MDT.
• Lead a designated area of the outpatient service at the base site and contribute to MDT objectives.

Job description

You will be responsible for the delivery of the musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and rheumatology aspect of the paediatric physiotherapy service. This includes potential for inpatients, outpatients and supporting work in clinics.

The role will use highly specialist skills to manage their own complex caseload, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. They will act as a specialist resource for colleagues and the wider MDT in the management of children with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and / or rheumatological conditions.

We have a fixed term, part-time maternity leave cover post for a forward-thinking, supportive and friendly Paediatric Physiotherapists to be based either at Broomfield Hospital, working within the Children's Therapy Service.

You will be part of a well led, dynamic and friendly MSE wide team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants, who constantly strive for integrated working - optimising patient care and team morale. The team works together to achieve both positive patient experience and successful outcomes.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for Physiotherapy and a desire to actively participate in all aspects of the role. They will lead an area of the outpatient musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and/or rheumatology physiotherapy service at their base site. The successful candidate must be an effective team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate evidence of recent professional learning.
