Job summary

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Paediatric nurse committed to delivering high quality nursing care in line with our values. The service provides Nursing care and family support to children with Chronic and Complex Needs, Palliative Care and long-term ventilation, as well as children with Acute Nursing needs.

You will need excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and respond to unexpected demands.

Qualifications

• Essential knowledge and skills: Knowledge and experience of caring for children with lifelong needs; excellent communication skills verbal and written; able to teach and mentor.
• Essential qualifications: Registered Nurse - RN - Child / RSCN; Degree / Diploma in Nursing studies or equivalent.
• Desirable qualifications: Mentorship of students qualification.

Responsibilities

• Orientation programme provided to develop high-level care skills.
• Assess, implement and evaluate care needs in home, clinics, schools and nursery settings.
• Receive regular supervision and feedback to support family-centered care.
• Contribute to our ethos of placing children, young people and families first.
