Job summary

Libertatem Healthcare Group in Swansea is seeking a dedicated Complex Care Support Worker to assist a young boy with brain injury, dystonia, epilepsy, visual impairment and communication needs.

You will work daytime and waking night shifts, providing physical and emotional support, administering medications where needed, and helping with daily routines in the family home. A compassionate, patient approach and paediatric care experience are essential.

Join Our Team as a Complex Care Support Worker – Make a Real Difference!

Are you looking for a rewarding and engaging role in complex clinical care? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client with complex needs in Sketty, Swansea.

Shift type: Both days and waking nights are available

Pay: Days - £17.00 per hour weekdays, £18.00 per hour weekends. Nights - £18.00 per hour

Hours: Days - Up to full-time hours (weekdays 08:00-11/12:00 & 14:15-19:00, weekends 09:00 - 15:00 & half term 08:30-19:00). Nights - Waking nights, up to full-time hours (22:00 – 07:00)

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a young boy who has complex needs due to a brain injury, including dystonia, epilepsy, visual impairment and communication difficulties. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

He lives at home with his family, he enjoys playing, reading stories, being outdoors, swimming and skiing. Most of all he enjoys time with his family and playing with his sister. Your role will be to support him physically and emotionally, helping him live life to the fullest.

• Paediatric experience, ideally with brain injuries.

• Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.
