An established industry player is seeking a dedicated audiologist to join a friendly community-based paediatric audiology team. We are seeking a highly motivated audiologist with experience and knowledge of paediatric diagnostic testing for a permanent full-time Band 6 position within a busy but friendly community-based paediatric audiology team.
The role involves collaborating with existing paediatric audiologists and assistant staff across three purpose-built audiology test facilities in Leeds.
The post holder will support the service clinically under the supervision of the Audiology Team Manager, carrying out paediatric diagnostic hearing assessments and making onward referrals to hospital ENT and audiology services.
Service improvement and development are central to the vision for the community paediatric audiology service. The post holder will contribute to service development as it progresses towards IQUIPS accreditation.
The team holds monthly meetings covering clinical and child protection supervision topics, with staff encouraged to contribute.
Clinical duties include delivering high-quality care to patients through face-to-face appointments in three soundproof paediatric rooms located at St Georges Centre in Middleton Leeds, Armley Moor Health Centre, and Chapeltown Health Centre.
Diagnostic testing of children aged 0-18 years using Visual Reinforcement Audiometry, Performance Audiometry, Pure Tone Audiometry, TEAOE testing, Otoscopy, Tympanometry, and speech tests (including Parrot+).
Service improvement tasks include writing and implementing SOPs for any additional service offerings.
The current clinic schedule runs Monday to Wednesday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, with flexible administrative time allocated weekly for clinical admin and service development.
