Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales is seeking a PACS Administrator to manage and support the imaging systems used across radiology and clinical departments. The role covers RIS/PACS administration, troubleshooting, and user support to ensure high availability of imaging services.

You will work with IT teams and clinical staff, undertake system testing of upgrades, monitor data workflows, and provide training to staff to maximise the benefits of the PACS/RIS environment.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Diploma in IT / Systems Management or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of Radiology IT and PACS systems.
• Detailed, specialist understanding of radiology workflows.
• IT literate using multiple software packages – email, word processing, spreadsheets, database, PowerPoint, and clinical information systems

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support RIS/PACS and related system software.
• Provide first-line support for hardware and peripherals used in radiology.
• Monitor data quality and support system upgrades and testing.
• Train staff to maximise benefits of the systems.
