Job summary

P&S Personnel Services Limited is seeking an experienced candidate to support line leadership in producing batches on time and to required quality standards. The role ensures stock is available to the line, safe handling of equipment is maintained, and quality critical checks and line clearances are completed.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, support changeovers, and may deputise for the Line Leader when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Line Leader to ensure batches are produced on time and to the required quality standards and in accordance with relevant company procedures.
• Ensure stock (bulk and components) is supplied to the line to support delivery to plan.
• Safe use of manual handling equipment (electric pallet trucks etc).
• Competent handling of spills.
• Perform quality critical line clearances before and after a filling run.
• Completion of in process checks and associated quality critical documentation.
• Expert operation of the line, including minor troubleshooting.
• Arrange Engineering support when needed.
• Identify continuous improvement and waste reduction opportunities and support their implementation.
• Assist with batch and product changeovers.
• Assess the team for competency in safe and effective operation of the line and GMP.
• Assist with training of team in safe and effective operation of the line and GMP.
• Support Validation/trials/misc non-routine activities.
• Occasionally deputise for the Line Leader in their absence to ensure production is sustained.

Working Hours and benefits

• Week 1: Monday-Thursday, 06:00-14:00 and Friday 06:00-13:00
• Week 2: Monday-Thursday, 13:45-22:00 and Friday 12:45-18:45
• Holiday is 25 days less 4 to cover Christmas closure plus bank holidays
• Pension offered at 5%, increasing to 6% after 5 years' service, this is offered on a matched / salary exchange basis.
