Job summary

Pertemps Reading is seeking a Packing Operative in Theale to join a pharmaceutical company. You will inspect blister strips, bottles, vials and pouches, apply labels, assemble components and inspect products to ensure quality.

You will use semi-automated packaging equipment in secondary packaging rooms, perform routine cleaning, follow cGMP and SOPs, and maintain clear records with strong attention to detail and good English literacy.

This full-time Packing Operative position in Theale offers £13 per hour through Pertemps Reading, supporting a pharmaceutical company. Duties involve inspecting sealed blister strips, cards, bottles, vials and pouches, alongside manual labelling, assembly and inspection tasks. The successful candidate will operate semi-automated packaging machinery within secondary packaging rooms and carry out both major and minor cleaning of equipment. Applicants must demonstrate strong reading, writing and communication abilities, plus a solid grasp of cGMP principles and adherence to written SOPs. Clear record-keeping and meticulous attention to detail are essential, together with competent manual dexterity for handling products safely. Working hours follow a standard full-time pattern, with training provided on relevant procedures and compliance requirements.
