Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator for the Packing department at our Thirsk site. You will join a four-cell packing team, operating automated bagging, sealing and wrapping equipment on a 42-hour weekly cycle with day and night shifts.

You will carry out hourly quality checks, set up machines, and ensure products are packed to standard. The role requires IT literacy, good numeracy, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numerical skills are required.
• Able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English.
• IT literacy and data entry on factory computers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packing machines throughout your shift.
• Carry out quality checks at hourly intervals and record findings.
• Follow production guidelines and ensure correct packaging of products.
• Monitor machinery and equipment performance.
• Adhere to Clean As You Go hygiene practices and safety rules.
