Job summary

Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC is seeking a Packing Line Lead for the late shift at our Skipton site. You will lead a production packing team, ensuring GMP-compliant operations, effective task delegation and adherence to the production schedule.

The role requires strong knowledge of health and safety, and the ability to communicate across departments while maintaining high quality and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMP manufacturing environment and adherence to SOPs.
• Strong time management to balance multiple tasks in a packed production line.
• Effective communication with peers and other departments to ensure smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Pack products to high-quality standards in line with GMP guidelines.
• Lead a team and delegate tasks to ensure production and cleaning duties are completed.
• Operate machinery and equipment while guiding team members and maintaining adherence to schedules.
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety guidelines.
• Support training and development within the team.
• Drive efficiency and operational excellence while maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Maintain manufacturing plan and adherence to targets through the schedule of adherence.
• Ensure paper work is accurate and completed on time.
• Support CAPA, deviations and change controls to prevent overdue actions.
• Maintain GMP and Health & Safety at all times and close out hazards promptly.

The Opportunity

To take responsibility for the equipment used and ensure all aspects of use (production and cleaning) are carried out to a high standard, in line with associated documentation and GMP procedures.

Lead a team whilst operating and packing products to the highest quality standard and compliant with the set GMP guidelines and procedures. Operate machinery and equipment by delegating instructions and tasks to team members whilst delivering excellence and meeting the schedule of adherence.

To ensure all activities undertaken are within the set health and safety guidelines.

So, what will you be doing?

This role has a broad and varied remit, and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

• Pack products to high-quality standards and drive those quality standards in accordance with the set GMP standards and standard operating procedures
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) whilst driving adherence to team members
• Support, attend and comply with any planned in-house training or job training
• To support operational excellence, incentives to drive and improve efficiency
• Maintain and drive the highest standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and personal hygiene within the department
• Demonstrate and drive all Dechra values and encourage others to do the same
• Support the departmental goal of achieving ‘Zero’ overdue CAPA’s, deviations and change controls
• Ensure paperwork is ‘Right first time’
• Maintain the manufacturing plan and ensure schedules of adherence to meet the agreed targets
• Maintain a high level of operational excellence and support the line leads to drive and improve efficiency
• Maintaining GMP and Health & Safety at all times, ensuring the ‘Close out’ of hazards and risk assessments promptly
