Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Packhouse Supervisor in Kent to oversee a busy packing operation. The role is hands-on, ideal for someone with team-leading experience who wants to take the next step. You will manage production, maintain output and quality, and support machinery and processes.

Full training and progression into senior roles are available. Salary starts at £14.25 per hour with progression and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Legal right to work in UK or valid visa.
• Experience in production or supervision in fresh produce or similar.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and basic machinery setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support production staff throughout the shift.
• Assist with production planning and ensure customer orders are completed efficiently and on time.
• Support machinery set-ups, changeovers and adjustments.
• Identify and resolve machinery or production issues to reduce downtime.
• Monitor productivity, quality and overall production performance.
• Train and support team members, helping to maintain consistent working standards.
• Ensure Health & Safety, hygiene and GMP requirements are followed.
• Work closely with Technical, Planning, Distribution and Maintenance teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve production processes and team performance.
• Take responsibility for the packhouse operation when required.
