Job summary

InPost UK in Kendal is seeking a Packer Driver to join our fast-growing UK hub. You will be responsible for safe loading, timely newspaper/magazine deliveries, and maintaining security of goods.

The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence with 3+ years driving experience, good local knowledge, and physical fitness for multi-drop tasks. Shift pattern is Wednesday to Sunday, start time 00:00–07:30, salary £13.22 per hour. A background check and drug/alcohol testing may be required.

What you’ll be doing:

• Safe Vehicle Loading: Ensure your vehicle is loaded in compliance with legislation and company standards.
• Timely Deliveries: Safely and efficiently deliver newspapers/magazines to our customers, ensuring on-time performance.
• Security: Maintain the security of the vehicle and goods throughout the transit process.
• Order Handling: Uplift previous day's orders and complete all necessary documentation accurately.
• Inbound Supplies Management: Break down, allocate, and load inbound supplies efficiently.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment.
• Adherence to Policies: Follow company procedures and policies to ensure a smooth workflow.

What we need from you:

• Full UK Driving Licence (with no more than 6 points).
• 3+ years of driving experience and a clean driving history (no disqualifications such as NI, DD, or DR).
• Strong local geographical knowledge of commercial addresses and streets.
• Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving and warehouse role.
• A hardworking, positive attitude with a flexible approach to work.
• Willingness to undergo a background check, as well as drug and alcohol testing, if successful.
