Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company in Colworth is seeking a Packaging Technologist to support the packaging manager, driving innovation and sustainable packaging solutions for iconic brands.

You will translate consumer insights and technical requirements into packaging concepts, lead development from brief to scale, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver cost-saving improvements that meet quality standards and delight consumers.

Qualifications

• Experience translating consumer needs into packaging concepts.
• Track record in developing packaging from concept to scale.
• Understanding of sustainability and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Translate consumer insights, technical requirements and business needs into packaging solutions.
• Lead & support packaging development from brief definition through to proving manufacture at scale on innovation and renovation projects.
• Deliver packaging that meets quality standards and delights the consumer.
• Liaise with packaging converters and material suppliers in development of packaging components.
• Test and validate technical specifications of packaging components.
• Identify and implement cost-saving activities across the packaging portfolio.
• Comply with safety, health, environmental requirements and quality policies.
