Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a proactive Packaging Technician at its Desford facility to serve as the operational backbone of the Packaging Team, directly supporting production continuity, managing packaging assets, and collaborating with Packaging Engineers.

This role requires an active Counterbalance Forklift License, at least 1 year in a warehouse or logistics setting, and strong teamwork and problem-solving skills; core hours are 08:00–16:00, Mon–Fri, onsite.

Qualifications

• Active Counterbalance Forklift License/Certification and operating experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) for inventory tracking and supplier emails.
• Minimum 1+ year in a warehouse, logistics, material handling, or shipping environment.
• Proactive, team-player attitude with strong communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
• Valid driver's license; occasional local visits to packaging/maintenance suppliers using a department vehicle.

REQUIREMENTS
