Job summary

PE Global (UK) is seeking a Packaging Technician for a leading multinational manufacturing client in Desford. This is a 12-month contract with a pay rate of £23.02 per hour PAYE or £31.52 per hour Umbrella. Hours are 37.5 per week.

Key duties include supporting Packaging Engineers, maintaining the packaging yard, coordinating equipment maintenance, and liaising with internal stakeholders across logistics and suppliers. Forklift licence/experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Packaging Engineers and provide forklift assistance as needed.
• Assist deliveries, receiving, loading and unloading activities.
• Maintain packaging yard to a high standard.
• Perform general packaging tasks to support production requirements.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance of damaged packaging equipment.
• Conduct regular asset counts/audits and ensure accurate inventory.
• Lead packaging asset maintenance processes and coordinate with maintenance suppliers.
• Exposure to internal stakeholders across logistics, packaging, transportation and suppliers.

This is an initial 12 months contract position.

Pay rate is £23.02ph PAYE or £31.52ph Umbrella.

Hours: 37.5 per week

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

• Support Packaging Engineers, including providing forklift assistance where required
• Support deliveries, receiving, and loading/unloading activities.
• Maintain packaging yard to a high standard
• Perform a range of general packaging tasks to support production requirements
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance of damaged packaging equipment

Education/Experience
