Job summary

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage and Gourmet Kitchen, Hull, is seeking a confident QA Technician to join the Technical Team to verify that raw materials, production and storage comply with food safety and quality standards.

You will sample, test, audit and monitor processes, packaging and artwork, ensure equipment calibration, and communicate QA results to the operations team. Experience in food manufacturing QA and hazard reporting is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/testing within food manufacturing is desirable.
• Understanding of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
• Familiarity with risk assessments and safe working procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sample, test, audit and monitor to verify safety and compliance of processes, procedures and products.
• Sample, test, audit and monitor intake of packaging and artwork for products.
• Perform verification checks to ensure equipment is calibrated to required standards.
• Maintain communications with operations and other functions about QA activities, results and trends.
• Collect relevant samples following procedures to ensure quality, safety and legality.

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage and Gourmet Kitchen are our state-of-the-art facilities located in Hull, we are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated QA Technician, to join our Technical Team to verify that raw materials, raw material preparation, manufacturing production and product storage/distribution, Artwork & packaging is compliant with food safety, legal and customers' quality standards.,

• Sample, test, audit and monitor to verify that all processes, procedures and products are being manufactured in a safe & compliant manner
• Sample, test, audit and monitor the intake of packaging and artwork for all products delivered into Gourmet Kitchen & Gourmet Sausage
• Conduct verification checks to ensure equipment is suitably calibrated to comply with required standards

• Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team and other relevant functions ensuring they are fully aware of quality assurance activities, results and trends
• Collect all relevant samples, with adherence to procedures and protocols, to ensure quality, safety and legality of products sampled
  Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures.
