Job summary

GWP Group / Macfarlane Packaging is seeking a Production Manager to lead site manufacturing operations, drive efficiency and maintain safety and quality across multi-shift teams. The role focuses on delivering targets, coaching high-performing crews, and aligning with business objectives.

You will manage production planning, KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and improvements are implemented across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing production in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop teams.
• Experience with production planning systems and KPI reporting.
• Understanding of health & safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all production activities to meet output targets, quality standards and delivery schedules.
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
• Own production execution and allocate resources to meet business demands.
• Develop, coach and lead production teams with a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards across operations.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for planning and problem resolution.
• Contribute to overall operational strategy and business growth initiatives.
