Job summary

CooperVision in Southampton is seeking a Packaging Operator L3 who will also train colleagues in the packaging area. You will learn multiple processes, monitor compliance with the Training Coordinator, and ensure timely, accurate packing of contact lenses.

The role requires manual handling awareness, familiarity with SOPs, and strong English communication. You will contribute to meeting production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards within a high-volume warehouse.

Qualifications

• Experience working in the packaging department with a keen interest to move into a Trainer role.
• PC literate.
• Experience with Marchesini 5 and 6, Strip 7 and Vitality machines.
• Good understanding of manual handling techniques.
• Ability to read, understand and work to SOPs.
• Multi-skilled Operator.
• Team player.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Punctual.
• Good level of spoken English.
• Prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Large open plan warehouse
• High level of noise
• PPE is required
• Working at heights is required
• Requirement to lift heavy boxes
