Job summary

St Austell Brewery is looking for a skilled packaging operative to join the Bottling, Cask Racking & Kegging operations in St Austell. You will work on automated packaging lines, ensuring quality and throughput, while adhering to strict procedures.

The role requires hands-on involvement with production equipment, changeovers, and problem solving in a busy manufacturing environment. A willingness to work shifts and communicate effectively within a small team is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on a production or manufacturing line.
• Experience working in an environment with formal quality standards (BRC, ISO, SALSA or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of process-driven working and health & safety.
• The ability to identify problems on the line and respond logically.
• Confidence communicating within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Operate on modern, automated bottling and larger pack lines.
• Monitor and operate automated machinery, respond to line stoppages and quality issues.
• Carry out format and product changeovers and follow SOPs, health and safety standards.
