Job summary

St Austell Brewery is seeking a Packaging Manager to lead the Packaging Team and ensure safe, efficient operations across bottling, kegging and cask racking in a 24/5 production environment. You’ll translate production strategy into packaging plans while acting as the senior technical contact for packaging issues and driving a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a packaging or production team in FMCG.
• Knowledge of HACCP and health and safety standards.
• Diploma towards IBD or equivalent; IOSH Managing Safely in six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Packaging Team to deliver a high-performing operation.
• Oversee bottling, kegging and cask racking in a 24/5 production environment.
• Agree and deliver the weekly Packaging Production Schedule with planning teams.
• Maintain packaging quality, hygiene and housekeeping and support audits.
• Lead health and safety within the Packaging area and embed risk assessments.
• Manage packaging materials, waste streams and supplier interactions.
• Support new SKUs and drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams across sites.
